Bullying Resources for Parents
We have been working diligently to bring programs to our students to address the issue of student bullying. State Trooper Rob Heibstreith brings the STEP program to our students on a monthly basis to address bullying at school, as well as cyber bullying. Deputy Mackenzie addresses bullying through the D.A.R.E. program with our 5th and 6th graders.
Renowned author Rosalind Wisemen has written a couple of books for parents to help them start conversations with their children concerning how to act when they are confronted with being bullied or witnessing it happening to someone else. The following books, "Queen Bees & Wannabes" and "Queen Bee Moms & Kingpin Dads" address the issue of bullying and how best to discuss this issue of bullying with your child, in order to help them develop positive strategies that support the instruction they are receiving at school.
